From the beautifully carved posts and canopy surround all of the way down to the solid square legs this bed has a great traditional look which gives it a timeless appearance. The bed can easily be set up as either a poster bed with large splayed finials on top of the posts or it can be converted into a canopy bed by simply removing the finials  and setting the canopy in place on top of the bed posts.  The attractive mahogany veneers on the headboard lift this bed past the level of commonly found mass produced beds while the high quality rail system works to make the bed feel as solid as the day it was created. The Hickory Chair Poster Bed is from the well known James River Collection and it is timeless in its appearance. Easy assembly can be done by two persons in a short period of time. The final photos of the bed show the hardware necessary for assembling the bed as well as two top panels for the canopy version of the bed which would benefit from some newer upholstery.
