The Kittinger Mahogany Credenza, Model B63 in the Kittinger catalog. This stylish piece has fantastic details throughout; including the original condition pull out leather tray, the over the top heavy brass drawer pulls with lion masks and solid oak drawer interiors. This credenza exemplifies the finest of American craftsmanship.
Kittinger furniture company of Buffalo NY has been around since 1866 and they are well known for having furnished spaces such as the White House in Washington, DC. Kittinger is still in business today and their master cabinet makers do an outstanding job of combining finely veneered panels with attractive mahogany solid woods in all of their pieces. The front of the base of the cabinet features four drawers in the center flanked by open spaces on each side for displaying your collectibles. Each of the drawers have solid brass handles and are dovetailed for strength and support.
Everything on this cabinet is in original, as found, condition including the leather for the pullout tray with the exception of some minor restoration to the top. Look closely and you will see some knicks along the base of the cabinet which can only be expected in a piece with this age. Item includes original paper and brass furniture labels. This Kittinger Mahogany Credenza B63 is fresh to the market, having been purchased directly form Kittinger and remaining in one family until being offered here.
