The absolute highest quality piece of American cabinet making is exemplified in this VINTAGE Kittinger Mahogany Dining Table, Factory Model B56. From the top of the table with its’ beautiful scalloped corners all of the way down to the solid mahogany bases this table exemplifies the finest of American craftsmanship. The bases are works of art in themselves with their incredible turnings and attention to detail. The solid brass casters and wheels are still in fine working condition.
Kittinger furniture company of Buffalo NY has been around since 1866 and they are well known for having furnished spaces such as the White House in Washington, DC. Kittinger is still in business today and their master cabinet makers do an outstanding job of combining finely veneered panels with attractive mahogany solid woods to create the finest pieces of furniture available any where.
This table is largely in original, as found, condition including the locking mechanism which holds the table top securely together. Unfortunately the table leaves were lost during a move so we have had new extensions created which match the originals very closely, including the reeded table edge. The Kittinger Mahogany Dining Table includes original paper furniture labels from the factory identifying the model number as well as the finish. This Kittinger dining table is fresh to the market, having been purchased directly from Kittinger and remaining in one family until being offered here.
