The Kittinger Mahogany Mirror, Model 4666 in the Kittinger catalog. This stylish piece hung over top of the console shown in our related listing NVIN0119 Kittinger Mahogany Console with Columns for many decades. The mirror has many elegant details throughout; including the original glass, the original finish as well as the gold detailed crown molding and applied gold decorative motifs. This console represents the finest in American craftsmanship.
Kittinger furniture company of Buffalo NY has been around since 1866 and they are well known for having furnished spaces such as the White House in Washington, DC. Kittinger is still in business today and their master cabinet makers do an outstanding job of combining finely veneered panels with attractive mahogany solid woods in all of their pieces. The Kittinger Mahogany Mirror 4666 is a perfect size for many rooms as it’s narrow width lends itself to areas unsuitable for larger mirrors
Everything on this mirror is in original, as found, condition with the exception of some minor restoration done to bring the vivid color of the wood back to life. This mirror does not include any original paper and brass furniture labels from the factory but we are reassured from the family which owned the mirror that it was purchased from Kittinger along with the other Kittinger items offered on our site. Also, you can see a picture of the mirror in the photo section which show it included in a Kittinger catalog from 1941 entitled “Kittinger Furniture A Study in Photographs”.
The listed price of this item includes free curbside shipping for most addresses in the continental USA.
