Mahogany Mirror with Arch Top :: NVIN0163

A Mahogany Mirror with Arch Top. This stylish piece hung over top of the Blockfront Dresser shown in our related listing NVIN0162 for many years. The mirror has many elegant details throughout; including the original glass, the original finish as well as fine quality string inlays and hand carved details along the sides.

The back of the mirror is stamped “Holland Michigan Nov 1936”. This is the mark of the glass company which provided mirrors to fine furniture companies in the area of Holland Michigan such as Baker Furniture. Also, the back of the mirror has hand written details of its’ sale information written in chalk and the number “2939” is also incised into the wood. This same number 2939 is also stamped into the backs of a number of other pieces of furniture available on our site – all of which came from the same household.

This Mirror is a perfect size for many rooms as it’s narrow width lends itself to areas unsuitable for wider mirrors
