From Niagara Furniture a Vintage Mahogany Banded Vanity with Mirror in excellent original, as found, condition. This is a very rare survivor. Incredibly well built this vanity is as solid as the day it was first constructed.

Both elegant and incredibly detailed this beautiful Vintage Mahogany Banded Vanity with Mirror  has everything one could ask for as a center point for any room. The vanity has a large amount of storage space featuring three drawers and also a “well” hidden below the lift up mirror. The well itself is also divided into further compartments for aiding in organizing goods stored there. All of the drawers are dovetailed with the secondary portions of the drawers fitting into the drawer fronts at complex angles which are extremely difficult to produce.

The bowed corners are a classic design feature and this shape is highlighted on the top of the vanity and this shaping continues downward and is reflected on both of the outside drawer fronts. High quality construction throughout is exemplified in the solid mahogany legs, the designer style hardware as well as the dovetailed drawers. The Vintage Mahogany Banded Vanity is both banded and string inlaid throughout its’ entire front giving the piece a level of sophistication that is both rare and desirable.

This vanity rests on four fantastic, inlaid tapered legs, each of which is also inlaid and all of which rest on what appear to be the original, best quality brass castors.

As with all antique and used pieces of furniture there will be some small signs of wear and tear but overall this item is in excellent original condition having had only some minor restoration done to the top to restore the finish to original luster. There is also some minor foxing to the mirror, this is shown in the last photo of the picture gallery
